Benefits You Can Receive

Obtaining an H-2A visa allows foreign nationals to work a temporary or seasonal agriculture job in the United States. In order to begin the process, you must have a standing offer of employment and the employer must meet several requirements. If the requirements are all met, the employer may then petition the U.S. government to bring the foreign worker to the country. Workers with an H-2A visa are allowed to remain in the country for a total of 365 days.

To qualify for H-2A nonimmigrant classification, you must show that:

  • The job that the employer is offering is temporary or seasonal in nature
  • There is not a sufficient amount of U.S. workers who are able, willing, or qualified to do the job
  • The employment of foreign temporary workers will not negatively affect the wages and working conditions of U.S. workers who are at a similar job
  • The visa holder intends to return to his or her home country after the expiration date

Call (337) 214-0670 for your initial case evaluation.

Even though the visa only extends for a relatively short period of time, it does provide numerous benefits to the holder. Qualifying spouses and dependents may be allowed to enter the country and the worker is given unrestricted ingress and egress into the U.S. during the 365 days. In addition to this, visa holders are entitled to prevailing wages, standards of employment, and worker's compensation benefits, as well as certain housing and education benefits for them and their family. In some situations, the H-2A may be extended indefinitely.

Helping Our Clients Enter
The Next Chapter of Their Lives

  • This entire office is an amazing team and we recommend them to all of our friends

“We have been using this office since 2014. They have helped us from adjusting my husbands status from his overstayed visa, to getting his travel permit, green card, and now his citizenship! They were able to pretty much do everything for us to where we only needed to submit documents and stay in contact. They made the entire process smooth and quick for us. They helped put our minds at ease when we were worried what could happen while we wait. Very good with quick response times! Very friendly staff! Both Ashley & Jeb were amazing to us and worked closely with us throughout the process! Maria & Josue were our main contacts throughout this as well and were just friendly and always answered my questions. Karen & Ann were amazing with working out payment arrangements for us during a difficult time of a new baby. This entire office is an amazing team and we recommend them to all of our friends who will need to go through these things as well! Thanks for all your help!”
